I am now in my new house, on my new sofa, drinking wine out of my new wine glasses (housewarming present from ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) urshulgi), having just eaten dinner off my new plates at my new table.
Sadly I am still surrounded by assorted chaos but i do have a working TV, working internet, a sofa and a made up bed. Oh, and a kettle, mugs and teabags to hand.
Thanks to urshulgi and emma_emily for lugging boxes and bags of assorted shit down 2 flights of stairs, into cars and over to the new place, which is (mercifully) on the ground floor!
I am tired, but feeling very positive. This will last until I go back to the old place to clean up tomorrow! :o)

So i have had the last week off work and had my boytoy staying with me for most of it. I haven't told you about my boytoy much, just alluded to the fact that there is one so i'll give you a bit of detail. But not much. He is Dave, he is 21 (21!!!) and Scottish (Vix never learns!) and i met him in April when he was in Brum visiting his mum, who lives here, and doing some work as a photographer. We hung out together that weekend and have been chatting a lot since. So he decided to come down again this week and i took time off work.

Does anyone in Brum have a scanner and an infinite amount of patience for the technologically inept? I've found some pics of me and Brian from the late 90s (he seemed to have got rid of all the ones with his long hair but he forgot about me - muahahaha!) that I wanna put on the faceache thread. I really am stupid so i need someone who isn't who could help me. Any time over the next couple of weeks would be much appreciated. Thanks x

Crazy day today. Remind me next time that the correct response to the question 'can you cover ...'s clinic?' is 'Oooh, sorry, any other day!' Full clinic, no idea who the clients were, didn't even have most of their names! Had to borrow a laptop off a colleague (had to run around the office trying to find one for most of the morning first!). It didn't work. So, full clinic, no client list, no information re clients, no way of doing notes or work with clients. Lovely!
Went to see topping_tons this evening, had yummy dinner and got asked to read a bedtime story and shown a glowing nursery school report. Win! :o)
Am now exhausted and plan on knocking myself out with the help of red wine.

I can't put this into words better than emma_emily has so i've taken her words. just know that i mean them too.
I want my friends to know that if they ever feel like that, EVER, then call me. Night or day. Even if we havent talked for a while. Because it makes me so sad to think that someone could feel that bad.

I put this post up on a custom filter last night before the news about Brian's death broke. I'm absolutely horrified and still feel quite numb about it, it hasn't sunk in at all. I thought that now the news has gone public people may want to read this. Behind a cut for those who don't and for those who have read it already on the custom post.

Thanks for getting my new phone to me so promptly. Just one small thing. Could i possibly swap it for one that, you know, works? And if you have one that might still be working in 6 months time can i have that one please? Don't wanna be demanding or owt but having been your customer for 9 years and put (at a conservative estimate) about a year's salary worth of business in your direction it would be ever so nice to actually have the working phone that i'm paying you to provide.

Crappy crappy day today. I had an entire admin day (rare) and a sizeable to-do list. Which i finally managed to make a start on at 3.30pm, once all the stupid crap had finished happening. I ticked off one thing on said list, i haven't even got yesterday's notes up to date and I have a full clinic tomorrow. Rapture! Planned to leave at 4 which didn't happen. Left at 5. Hit traffic chaos. Was half a mile further down the road when the 6 o clock news came on. Tom was coming over at 7 and both me and my place were a mess.
Anyhow, managed to postpone Tom til 7.30 and dash around tidying and chucking make-up at face. Really glad i didn't cancel tonight which i had thought about doing. I made lasagne and he brought chocolate, doughnuts and DVDs. Good boy toy, well done. Hugs and mutual sympathy were administered (he hates his job, i love mine but it can be a bit stressful at times, like today) and both parties feel better.
World is a happier place. For the next 9 and a half hours before the madness begins again!

Fantastic. A drunk man just knocked my door and introduced himself as my new neighbour and asked if i wanted to come over for a glass of wine. Now i'm sure that he's a lovely person but i've been down this road, i know where it ends. Or at least where it ended last time. I can do polite but not especially friendly right?
Oh God, don't let the flowers be from him!
